Notarial Fees
You will always receive a detailed fee breakdown after you discuss your matter with the notary.
Minimum free
The minimum charge for individual clients is £99 including VAT, (£135 including VAT for a power of attorney) and for corporate clients, it is £150 + VAT (£200 + VAT for a corporate power of attorney).
Additional documents relating to the matter are charged at £55 including VAT per personal document and £80 + VAT per business document.
The minimum fee generally applies to straightforward documents, including passport/ID copies, one-page documents, police certificates, degree certificates, or child travel consent letters. However, more complex documents may incur a higher fee due to the additional time and research required.
Hourly rate
For complex matters where an exact fee cannot be determined upfront, our notary will provide you with a fee structure based on an hourly rate of £240 + VAT, along with an accurate estimate based on the details you provide. Our notary’s fee structure will always be communicated to you in advance. The hourly rate includes any work undertaken in your matter, as well as any telephone, text and email communication with you, your representatives (including lawyers and legal advisors) and any authority in the UK and abroad.
Out - of - hours, mobile and weekend appointments
Additional charge of £55 (including VAT) applies to out-of-hours and weekend appointments.
For mobile appointments, travel costs are charged at £5 per mile of the full journey completed (VAT included).
Additional documents and amendments
Please note that the fee for any additional documents is £55 (including VAT). Any minor handwritten amendments to the original notarial act during or after the meeting will be made free of charge. However, if you require any additional documents relating to your current notarial matter during the meeting, a fee of £55 (including VAT) per document will apply.
A fee of £80 + VAT per document applies to any additional company documents.
VAT
Please note that our notarial fees are subject to VAT (20%).
Disbursements
You will always be informed about any additional payments our notary needs to make on your behalf to finalise your matter. Such fees might include:
Legalisation/Apostille fees and consular agent fees
Courier and postage fees
Translation fees
Verification through 3rd parties fees
Travelling expenses
Companies House search fees
Other fees that our notary has to pay to 3rd parties complete your matter
