Notary Fees in Manchester

notary public fees manchester

KG Notary Public provides transparent notary fees for individuals and businesses in Manchester. The cost depends on the type and number of documents, the work required and whether an apostille, embassy legalisation, translation or courier service is needed.

Before arranging an appointment, please send us a copy of each document, confirm the country where it will be used and include any instructions received from the overseas lawyer or receiving authority. We will review the information and provide a detailed quotation before your appointment.

Notary Fees for Individuals and Businesses

Our minimum notarial fees are:

  • Individual notarisation: from £99 including VAT

  • Individual power of attorney: from £135 including VAT

  • Corporate notarisation: from £150 plus VAT

  • Corporate power of attorney: from £200 plus VAT

  • Additional personal documents connected with the same matter: £25–£55 including VAT per document

  • Additional corporate documents connected with the same matter: £80 plus VAT per document

The minimum fee generally applies to straightforward matters such as notarising a passport or identity-document copy, affidavit, statutory declaration or child travel consent letter.

More complex documents may involve a higher fee because of the additional preparation, verification, research or communication required.

Complex matters and hourly rate

Where the exact fee cannot be determined in advance, work may be charged at £240 plus VAT per hour. We will explain the fee structure and provide an estimate based on the information supplied before beginning the work.

The hourly rate may include reviewing and preparing documents, carrying out checks and communicating with you, your representatives, lawyers, advisers or relevant authorities in the UK or overseas.

All prices include VAT where expressly stated. Fees shown as “plus VAT” are subject to VAT at the applicable rate, currently 20%.

The exact charge depends on the document and the work required.

Disbursements and third-party charges

Disbursements are payments made to third parties on your behalf to complete your matter. Where applicable, these are charged in addition to the notarial fee.

Disbursements may include:

  • Paper apostille and legalisation fees

  • Consular-agent fees

  • Embassy or consular fees

  • Courier and postage charges

  • Translation fees

  • Third-party verification fees

  • Companies House or overseas company-register search fees

  • Other third-party costs reasonably incurred to complete your matter

Some documents intended for use abroad may require a paper apostille or further embassy or consular legalisation. Please see our Apostille and Legalisation page for further information about the available options, charges and likely timescales.

You will be informed of any known disbursements before we incur them on your behalf. Embassy and consular legalisation charges vary considerably depending on the destination country and document, so a separate quotation will be provided once the requirements have been confirmed with our consular agents.
