KG Notary Public provides urgent and same-day notary appointments in Manchester for individuals and businesses requiring documents for use overseas.
Same-day appointments may be available for straightforward matters, subject to availability and the documents being provided and reviewed in advance. Evening, weekend and mobile appointments may also be arranged where possible.
Before an appointment can be confirmed, please send us the document, the country where it will be used and any instructions received from your overseas lawyer, bank or receiving organisation. We will review the requirements and confirm the likely process, fee and earliest available appointment.
Important: Do not sign your document before meeting the notary unless you have been specifically instructed otherwise.
Can I Arrange a Same-Day Notary Appointment?
Same-day notarisation may be possible where the matter is straightforward and all the required documents and information can be provided promptly.
Examples of documents that may be suitable for a same-day appointment include:
Simple power of attorney documenys
Certified copies of passports and identification documents
Affidavits and statutory declarations
Child travel consent and passport consent documents
Companies House documents and board resolutions if all eligible directors are available
This is not an exhaustive list. The time required depends on the document, destination country, receiving authority and whether any verification, drafting, company searches, translation or legalisation is required.
Complex documents cannot always be completed on the same day. Additional time may be needed where the notary must:
Verify a document directly with the issuing organisation
Review the requirements of a foreign authority
Contact an overseas lawyer, bank or receiving organisation
Confirm a company’s legal existence or a signatory’s authority
Review foreign company documents
Arrange a translation
Prepare a more detailed notarial certificate

Urgent or Emergency Notary Requests
An urgent or emergency notary request may arise because of a court, property, travel, banking or commercial deadline. Please tell us the exact deadline when making your enquiry and send the complete documents as early as possible.
We will prioritise reviewing the enquiry but cannot confirm an emergency appointment until the document, identity requirements and any necessary authority or verification checks have been considered. Where the matter cannot safely or properly be completed within the requested time, we will explain what is outstanding and provide the earliest realistic timescale.
What to Send for an Urgent Appointment
To allow us to review your enquiry quickly, please send:
A complete scan or clear photograph of every page of the document requiring notarisation
The country where the document will be used
The name of the court, authority, bank, lawyer or organisation receiving it
Any instructions received from the overseas lawyer or receiving authority
Your required completion date and time
A scan or clear photograph of your valid passport, national identity card or photographic driving licence
Recent proof of your residential address
Accepted proof of address normally includes:
A utility bill
A Council Tax bill for the current year
A bank statement or letter from your bank dated within the last three months
If you are signing for a company, please also provide:
The company name and Companies House registration number
The company’s incorporation documents
Evidence confirming your position and authority to sign
A board resolution, corporate power of attorney or other relevant authority document
Original identification, proof of address and relevant original documents will normally need to be presented at the appointment.
How the Urgent Notarisation Process Works
1. Send your documents
Send the complete document, destination country, identification and any instructions you have received. Please also explain the deadline and whether you require an office, mobile, evening or weekend appointment.
2. Document review and quotation
The notary will review the documents and confirm the likely notarial requirements, fee, timescale and earliest available appointment. If additional information or verification is required, we will explain this before the meeting.
3. Attend the appointment
Where an appointment is required, it takes place in person. The notary may verify your identity, legal capacity, understanding and authority to act; witness your signature; certify copies of original documents; and prepare and attach the appropriate notarial certificate.
Straightforward appointments usually take approximately 30 minutes. The precise time depends on the document and the checks required.
4. Completion and legalisation
Where no further legalisation is required, the completed document can usually be provided at or shortly after the appointment. If an apostille or embassy legalisation is required, this is a separate process and we will explain the available options and likely timescale.

Normal availability is Monday to Friday, 9:00–17:30. Early-morning, evening and weekend appointments may be available by prior arrangement. Mobile appointments can also be arranged across Manchester and Greater Manchester, subject to availability.
Appointments are by prior arrangement only. We do not accept walk-in appointments because the documents and requirements must be reviewed before a meeting can be confirmed.
Urgent and Out-of-Hours Notary Fees
Our minimum notarial fees are:
Individual notarisation: from £99 including VAT
Individual power of attorney: from £135 including VAT
Corporate notarisation: from £150 plus VAT
Corporate power of attorney: from £200 plus VAT
An additional charge of £55 including VAT applies to out-of-hours and weekend appointments.
Mobile appointments are charged at the applicable notarial fee together with travel at £5 per mile for the total journey, including VAT.
More complex matters may involve a higher fee because of additional preparation, verification, research or communication. You will receive a quotation before the appointment is arranged.

Urgent Apostille and Legalisation
Same-day notarisation does not mean that an apostille or embassy legalisation can be completed at the appointment.
Depending on the destination country and receiving authority, your notarised document may also require a paper apostille from the Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office or further legalisation through an embassy or consulate.

Frequently Asked Questions
Can I walk in and have a document notarised immediately?
No. Appointments are by prior arrangement only. Every document must be submitted and reviewed before an appointment can be confirmed.
Is same-day notarisation guaranteed?
No. Same-day appointments are subject to availability and completion of all necessary document, identity, verification and authority checks. We will confirm the earliest realistic appointment after reviewing your enquiry.
Can you notarise my document remotely or by video call?
No. KG Notary Public provides in-person appointments only. Where the signatory must appear before the notary, they must attend the office or arrange a mobile appointment.
Can you see me in the evening or at the weekend?
Evening and weekend appointments may be available by prior arrangement. An additional out-of-hours fee applies.
Can a company document be notarised on the same day?
It may be possible, but corporate documents usually require additional checks. Please provide the company details, incorporation documents, identification for the signatory and evidence of the signatory’s authority as early as possible.
Can an apostille be issued at the same-day appointment?
No. A paper apostille is issued by the Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office and is a separate process. We can arrange the apostille after notarisation where required.
