KG Notary Public provides mobile notary appointments across Manchester and Greater Manchester for individuals and businesses who are unable to attend, or would prefer not to travel to, our Manchester City Centre office.
The notary can attend your home, workplace or another suitable agreed location. Mobile appointments may be arranged during normal business hours and, subject to availability, in the early morning, evening or at weekends.
Before a visit can be confirmed, please send us the document, the country where it will be used and any instructions received from your overseas lawyer, bank or receiving organisation. We will review the requirements and confirm the likely process, fee, travel charge and available appointment times.
Important: Do not sign your document before meeting the notary unless you have been specifically instructed otherwise.

Where Can a Mobile Notary Appointment Take Place?
Mobile appointments can be arranged at a suitable location within Manchester or the Greater Manchester area, including:

Another private and suitable agreed location
The location must allow the appointment to take place safely, privately and without interruption. The signatory must be able to communicate with the notary and demonstrate their identity, legal capacity, understanding of the document and willingness to proceed.
What to Send Before a Mobile Appointment
To review your enquiry and provide an accurate quotation, please send:
A complete scan or clear photograph of every page of the document requiring notarisation
The country where the document will be used
The name of the authority, court, bank, lawyer or organisation receiving it
Any instructions received from the overseas lawyer or receiving authority
A scan or clear photograph of the signatory’s valid identification document
Recent proof of the signatory’s residential address
The full address where the mobile appointment is requested
Your preferred date and time
Details of any accessibility, parking, reception or entry arrangements
Accepted identification documents normally include:
A valid passport
A valid national identity card
A photographic driving licence
Accepted proof of address normally includes:
A utility bill
A Council Tax bill for the current year
A bank statement or letter from the bank dated within the last three months
Original identification, proof of address and relevant original documents will normally need to be presented during the appointment.
If the document is being signed for a company, please also provide the company’s details and incorporation documents together with evidence confirming the signatory’s position and authority to act.
How a Mobile Notary Appointment Works
1. Send your documents and location
Send the complete document, destination country, identification, requested appointment address and any instructions you have received.
2. Document review and quotation
The notary will review the matter and confirm the likely notarial requirements, appointment availability, notarial fee and travel charge. If verification, drafting, company searches or further information are required, we will explain this before arranging the visit.
3. The notary attends the agreed location
During the appointment, the notary may:
Verify the signatory’s identity
Confirm the signatory’s legal capacity, understanding and willingness to proceed
Confirm the signatory’s authority to act for a company or another person
Witness the document being signed
Certify copies of original documents
Prepare and attach the appropriate notarial certificate
Appointments usually take approximately 30 minutes, although complex matters or multiple documents may require longer.
4. Completion and return of documents
Where no further legalisation is required, the completed document can usually be provided at or shortly after the appointment. If a paper apostille or embassy legalisation is required, we can explain and arrange the next stage where appropriate.
Mobile Notary Fees in Manchester
A mobile appointment is charged at the applicable notarial fee together with the travel charge.
Our minimum notarial fees are:
Individual notarisation: from £99 including VAT
Individual power of attorney: from £135 including VAT
Corporate notarisation: from £150 plus VAT
Corporate power of attorney: from £200 plus VAT
Travel is charged at £5 per mile for the total journey, including VAT.
An additional charge of £55 including VAT applies to evening, early-morning and weekend appointments outside normal office hours.
The total fee depends on the location, travel time, type and number of documents, work required and whether verification, an apostille, embassy legalisation, translation or courier service is needed. We will provide a quotation before confirming the appointment.

Same-Day Mobile Notary Appointments
Same-day mobile appointments may be available for straightforward matters, subject to availability, travel time and receipt of all required documents and information.
Complex matters may require additional preparation and cannot always be completed on the same day. Please send the documents and requested location as early as possible. We will confirm the earliest realistic appointment after reviewing the enquiry.

Apostille and Legalisation After a Mobile Appointment
Depending on the destination country and receiving authority, your notarised document may also require a paper apostille from the Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office or further legalisation through an embassy or consulate.

Yes. The notary can attend a home, workplace or another suitable agreed location, provided the appointment can take place privately and safely.
Can you arrange a same-day mobile visit?
Same-day visits may be available for straightforward matters, subject to availability, travel time and completion of all necessary checks.
Do you provide witnesses?
No. If your document requires witnesses in addition to the notary, you must arrange suitable witnesses and tell us before the appointment. Each witness should bring valid photographic identification.
Is a mobile appointment the same as online notarisation?
No. A mobile appointment takes place in person at an agreed location. KG Notary Public does not provide remote or video-call notarisation.
